For more than two years, all the socio-economic actors, artists, professionals from the various visual arts organizations in the Hauts-de-France region, have initiated a process of reflection in view of its structuring in the sector and thus better understand its current state and potential for development.
In April 2017, a technical committee representative of all stakeholders in the sector was formed. Its mission is to structure the sector by putting in place a global reflection on the means, practices and values that drive it. Initiated by the visual arts professionals, the visual arts sector also concerns, in addition to the visual arts, design, fashion and crafts. To support its structuring and its development, the actors of the sector wished to implement a study process. Considering that the sub-sector of the visual arts was the least known in its specificities and its potentialities, the sector in process of structuring engages, at first, a study process centered on the plastic arts.
Two questionnaires - dedicated respectively to plastic artists and cultural institutions in the Hauts-de-France - thus make it possible to take part in the survey to better (re) know the plastic arts in the region.
These are part of a process initiated by all the actors - artists, professionals from the various visual arts organizations in the Hauts-de-France region - and supported by the Region and other donors. such as DRAC and AFDAS.
